StoreBuilder & Collecting Payments
Your new store comes ready to use with a powerful payment processor (sometimes referred to as a ‘gateway’) called Stripe. Since credit cards are super-ultra-sensitive information, eCommerce regulations require that information to be on absolute lockdown. That is where Stripe comes in.
Your customers’ financial data will never live on your StoreBuilder site. It will live in Stripe and communicate via a secure protocol between the two services.
Setting Up Stripe or PayPal on Your StoreBuilder Site
Setting up Stripe or PayPal is now much easier on your StoreBuilder site.
From the Setup Admin tab, you can select to either Connect Stripe or PayPal. Selecting each payment gateway will then walk you through creating an account or linking an existing one. The correct payment gateway plugins for Stripe and PayPal will also be automatically installed when you go through to connect your site.
